Premium Brass Bloom Lotus Katori Bowl Set

Mini · Small · Big · Large · Capacities from 30 to 80 millilitres

Heritage Material Quality
  • Strong Fine Quality Brass — This traditional bowl set is manufactured from high-gauge, strong fine solid brass with zero synthetic chemical coatings or modern industrial fillers. It possesses exceptional durability and an incredibly long life, engineered specifically to handle intensely hot daily ritual items without bending, leaking, or wearing thin.

Intricate Design Highlights
  • Bloomed Lotus Petal Geometry — The absolute standout feature of this katori bowl collection is its exquisite fluted rim layout that makes the entire container look like lotus petals bloomed. These individual layered 3D wave contours wrap completely around the basin, catching light beautifully to produce a brilliant golden mirror luster across your altar steps.
  • Stable Linear Pedestal Base — The base is engineered with a completely flat, thick circular base diameter accent highlighted by fine horizontal ring lines. This provides total structural balance on your temple shelves, keeping hot liquids or loose items completely secure from accidental tipping during busy ritual handling.

Multipurpose Ritual Utility
  • Auspicious Pooja Room Offerings — This flexible bowl configuration is explicitly tailored to serve as a multipurpose devotional tray essential for everyday prayers to God. Depending on the size variant selection you choose, these bowls adapt perfectly to hold sacred elements:
    • Liquid Sacraments — Perfect for presenting Theertham holy water, unboiled cow's milk, honey, panchamirtham, or liquid ghee mixtures directly onto your altar.
    • Dry Offerings & Spices — Ideal as a dedicated safety tray to contain Akshat rice grains, raw turmeric root, kumkum powder, sandalwood paste (Chandan), loose flower buds, or sugar candies (Kalkandu) near your deity statues.

Strict Chemical Restriction: Because these bowls are crafted from untreated raw brass alloys, they are not recommended for serving or storing cooked wet foods, acidic dishes, or salted items to protect your family from natural metallic oxidation and maintain health safety rules.

Auspicious Gifting Choice
  • The Ultimate Devotional Token — A budget-friendly, highly useful option for traditional return gifts and premium corporate tokens during family festivals, upscale weddings (Kalyanam), and housewarming ceremonies (Grihapravesam). Gifting this leaves a lasting spiritual memory your guests will value lifelong.

Short Notes: The Puranic Symbolism of the Bloomed Lotus
  • The Seat of Mahalakshmi — In our ancient scriptural shastras, the blooming Lotus (Thamarai) represents pristine purity, cosmic awakening, and the eternal seat of Goddess Lakshmi. Welcoming these lotus-shaped katoris onto your altar steps creates an immediate deity-oriented connection, functioning as a high-vibration anchor to dissolve stagnant domestic negativity, clear financial anxieties, and invite permanent protective grace directly into your lifestyle path.

A Note on Capacity · Millilitres & Grams

Capacity is measured in millilitres, which describe the space inside the bowl, not the weight of its contents. The weight of kumkum, sandalwood powder, rice or other offerings held will vary according to the material and how loosely or firmly it is filled.

A 30 millilitre bowl does not necessarily hold 30 grams of a solid offering. The weight listed in the tables is the weight of the empty bowl, not its contents. Please use the stated millilitre capacity when comparing sizes.

“The smallest offering, placed with love, can hold the whole of a prayer.”

Care & Maintenance

Made from super fine quality brass with a golden powder coated polish — gives a satin gold glow like a gold statue. Purely for decor and dry display. If used for pooja rituals, the golden polish layer will peel off over time. Keep it dry — and it will look as fresh as the day you bought it. Always.

No restrictions for pooja rituals. Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve its traditional antique look. The dark patina is intentional — it deepens the beauty over time.

Powerful. Preferred for active pooja rituals — no restrictions. Traditional Cleaning Method: Use dara liquid and cashew nut seeds — an ancient method used by temple priests for generations. Gently rub with cashew nut seeds dipped in dara liquid. Rinse clean. Your idol will look brand new. Cleaning once every 30 days is recommended if used regularly for pooja.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand this completely. You are buying online from a shop you have never visited. Here is the truth: Sri Swaminathan & Co has been standing at 61, Bakthapuri Street, Kumbakonam since 1973 — over 53 years. We are not a warehouse or a reseller. We are a family shop, rooted in Kumbakonam, where priests, temples, and devotees from across Tamil Nadu have been coming for generations. Travellers from Singapore, Malaysia, UK, and USA visit us when they come to Kumbakonam — because they know us. You can walk into our shop any day. We are real.
Because most sites sell products. We sell legacy. Every item in our shop — whether it is a small brass lamp or a 4-foot Panchaloha idol — comes from craftsmen whose families have been doing this since the Chola period. We do not source from factories. We do not compromise on material or finish to reduce price. When you buy from us, you are not just getting a product — you are getting 53 years of trust, traditional craftsmanship, and the assurance that what you receive is exactly what a devotee deserves.
This is a fair concern and we respect it. Here is why we do not offer COD — our products are handcrafted, fragile, and carefully packed for safe delivery. COD returns damage both the product and the trust. Instead, we offer something better: WhatsApp us before you order. We will send you a video of the actual product — the exact piece you will receive. You can ask us anything. Only when you are fully satisfied, you pay. Our 53-year reputation is our guarantee — we cannot afford to let even one customer down.
Not at all — and we are glad you asked this. Our products are made of brass and Panchaloha — metals that naturally catch and reflect light from every angle. What you see as dark shades or bright reflections in photos is simply the metal doing what metal does — glowing, reflecting, and shining. We photograph every product as-is, with no filters, no AI, no editing. That reflection you see in the photo? You will see the same beautiful glow when it sits in your pooja room. It is not a defect — it is the character of real metal.
Yes — and here is why we say this with full confidence. Panchaloha idols require the right alloy, the right casting method, and the right finishing — done by craftsmen who understand the spiritual significance of what they are making. Our Panchaloha idols are hand-cast in Kumbakonam and Swamimalai by hereditary artisans using the traditional lost-wax method — the same method used to make idols for consecrated temples across South India. Priests trust our idols for temple installation. Families trust us for home pooja rooms. In 53 years, that trust has never been broken.
