Why ‘Dakshina’ Kali?

Dakshina means right side in Sanskrit. By stepping forward with her right foot onto Lord Shiva’s chest, her cosmic fury is instantly channelled into peaceful, protective grace — making her the most benevolent form of Kali.

Dakshina also means South — the direction of Yama (God of Death). Worshipping her removes the fear of death and clears severe astrological blockages.
