🌸 Heavy Brass Multipurpose Altar Stand for Idols & Offerings 🌸

— Solid Cast Brass · Classic Traditional Look · 10 cm Height (5.5 Inch Bowl) —

For those looking to add a neat, temple-grade elevation to their sacred items, this magnificent piece is an excellent choice. Hand-designed right here in Kumbakonam, this Solid Brass Pedestal Stand features a beautifully wide, shallow basin supported by a thick, flared ritual pillar base.

This is a premium quality, heavy-gauge piece built to be truly multipurpose. It serves as a perfectly steady platform to hold your heavy deity statues for honour, collect flowers during Abishegam water rituals, or neatly arrange your everyday pooja accessories.

Why This Pedestal Stand Deserves a Special Place in Your Home

Multipurpose Pooja Utility: This heavy stand is a real helper for your daily rituals. Use it to cleanly place your main deity idols during prayers, collect holy water or milk during Abishegam ceremonies, or simply fill it with fresh flower petals to create a welcoming altar presentation.

Keenly Watched Geometric Patterns: If you keenly watch the design from the top view, you will see a beautiful engraved star flower motif centred at the base. The wide outer rim features a clean row of vertical ridge lines and tiny dotted stamps, providing an elegant traditional frame that catches passing room light.

Massive Weight for Heavy Idols: Notable for its solid thickness and heavy weight, this pedestal will never tip over or sway. It holds even your heaviest solid metal statues completely safe, stable, and elevated above the altar level to show them proper respect.

Material, Quality & Craftsmanship

Solid Heavy-Duty Cast Brass: Poured from thick, 100% genuine solid brass metal right in our local workshops. It carries a highly substantial, incredibly heavy feel in the hand, weighing an exceptional 1.050 kg for its compact sizing. It is completely unbreakable and built to last for generations.

Classic Matte Antique Lustre: Finished with a beautiful, soft golden polish that shows off its authentic cast metal details without any cheap, shiny plastic lacquer coats, making it easy to clean after oily rituals.

Perfect Proportional Stability: Carefully balanced with a wide 14 cm top diameter to offer plenty of space, supported by a steady 7.5 cm base diameter that grounds the structure firmly at a functional 10 cm height depth.

A Meaningful Traditional Gift for Special Milestones

Home Pooja Mandirs & Temples: An absolute essential accessory to neatly organise your daily aradhana plates, keep prasadam, or elevate your main family deities.

Housewarmings & Special Anniversaries: A deeply respectable, valuable family keepsake to gift close relatives or friends to wish them a strong, organised, and lucky start in their prayer routines.

Safe Worldwide Suitcase Packing: Built from solid, thick cast brass metal, this heavy piece is completely immune to fractures or cracks during long international travel or postal shipping.

Easy Care & Maintenance Instructions

Because this solid piece is used for liquid Abishegams or holding oily items, it requires simple, regular care to remain clean and golden:

Daily Wash Routine: Gently wash the stand using your regular dish soap and a soft sponge immediately after your prayers to clear away wet stains or oil traces. Never use steel wire scrubbers, as they will scratch the fine engravings.

Restoring the Bright Glow: If it turns dark from atmosphere exposure, simply rub a small amount of fresh tamarind paste or fresh lemon juice mixed with fine salt over the brass. The natural fruit acid will instantly bring back the rich golden look.

Wipe it Completely Dry: Always wipe the pedestal completely dry with a soft towel immediately after washing so that trapped water drops do not leave spots inside the rim lines.

What you see on this page is the real product — photographed as it is, with no digital editing or AI enhancement. The piece you receive will look exactly as shown.

Care & Maintenance

Made from super fine quality brass with a golden powder coated polish — gives a satin gold glow like a gold statue. Purely for decor and dry display. If used for pooja rituals, the golden polish layer will peel off over time. Keep it dry — and it will look as fresh as the day you bought it. Always.

No restrictions for pooja rituals. Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve its traditional antique look. The dark patina is intentional — it deepens the beauty over time.

Powerful. Preferred for active pooja rituals — no restrictions. Traditional Cleaning Method: Use dara liquid and cashew nut seeds — an ancient method used by temple priests for generations. Gently rub with cashew nut seeds dipped in dara liquid. Rinse clean. Your idol will look brand new. Cleaning once every 30 days is recommended if used regularly for pooja.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand this completely. You are buying online from a shop you have never visited. Here is the truth: Sri Swaminathan & Co has been standing at 61, Bakthapuri Street, Kumbakonam since 1973 — over 53 years. We are not a warehouse or a reseller. We are a family shop, rooted in Kumbakonam, where priests, temples, and devotees from across Tamil Nadu have been coming for generations. Travellers from Singapore, Malaysia, UK, and USA visit us when they come to Kumbakonam — because they know us. You can walk into our shop any day. We are real.
Because most sites sell products. We sell legacy. Every item in our shop — whether it is a small brass lamp or a 4-foot Panchaloha idol — comes from craftsmen whose families have been doing this since the Chola period. We do not source from factories. We do not compromise on material or finish to reduce price. When you buy from us, you are not just getting a product — you are getting 53 years of trust, traditional craftsmanship, and the assurance that what you receive is exactly what a devotee deserves.
This is a fair concern and we respect it. Here is why we do not offer COD — our products are handcrafted, fragile, and carefully packed for safe delivery. COD returns damage both the product and the trust. Instead, we offer something better: WhatsApp us before you order. We will send you a video of the actual product — the exact piece you will receive. You can ask us anything. Only when you are fully satisfied, you pay. Our 53-year reputation is our guarantee — we cannot afford to let even one customer down.
Not at all — and we are glad you asked this. Our products are made of brass and Panchaloha — metals that naturally catch and reflect light from every angle. What you see as dark shades or bright reflections in photos is simply the metal doing what metal does — glowing, reflecting, and shining. We photograph every product as-is, with no filters, no AI, no editing. That reflection you see in the photo? You will see the same beautiful glow when it sits in your pooja room. It is not a defect — it is the character of real metal.
Yes — and here is why we say this with full confidence. Panchaloha idols require the right alloy, the right casting method, and the right finishing — done by craftsmen who understand the spiritual significance of what they are making. Our Panchaloha idols are hand-cast in Kumbakonam and Swamimalai by hereditary artisans using the traditional lost-wax method — the same method used to make idols for consecrated temples across South India. Priests trust our idols for temple installation. Families trust us for home pooja rooms. In 53 years, that trust has never been broken.
