Real Kumbakonam Panchaloha  ✦  Raw Finish Metal  ✦  16 cm (6.3 Inch)

If you want a real, temple-grade idol for your home prayer room, this is it. Hand-designed and poured by our master sthapathis right here in Kumbakonam, this heavy Panchaloha Ganesha statue features very sharp, clear details that mass-produced plastic or machine items can never match.

This is a completely real, solid piece from our signature miniature collection. Cast using the traditional five-metal alloy (Panchadhatu), the melt contains a true pinch of real gold and silver to give the statue a warm, natural shine and a sacred presence.

Why People Keep This Statue at Home
  • Removing Obstacles — Lord Ganesha is the remover of all obstacles and the lord of new beginnings. Keeping him in your home temple or workspace clears the path for smooth success, peace, and positive energy.
  • The Blessing Posture — He sits comfortably in a relaxed posture on a beautiful lotus throne base (Peedam). His lower hand holds a sweet modak, his trunk curves beautifully to the left, and his upper hands hold his traditional sacred tools to guide and shield your family from worries.
  • The Grand Temple Arch — The statue features an attached, highly detailed archway (Tiruvatchi) framing Lord Vinayagar, creating a complete, majestic temple shrine right inside your home layout.
Material, Quality & Craftsmanship
  • Genuine Five-Metal Panchaloha — Poured as one single, solid piece of metal. Blending copper, zinc, and iron with a small touch of gold and silver gives it a very heavy, solid weight of 1.850 kg for its size. It is completely unbreakable.
  • No Artificial Lacquer Paint — We refuse to use cheap plastic lacquers or chemical coatings on this traditional style. The metal is left entirely raw and natural, so it can breathe and interact cleanly with your daily prayers.
  • Extraordinarily Sharp Details — Because it is handmade using time-tested Kumbakonam casting methods, every detail — from his ornate crown to his facial expression, tiny mouse vahana, and the archway patterns — stays beautifully crisp and visible.
A Meaningful, Lifetime Traditional Gift
  • Daily Pooja Room Worship — A pristine, raw metal icon made perfectly for daily washing, traditional rituals, and active family prayers.
  • Housewarmings and Business Openings — A deeply respectable, valuable family keepsake to gift close friends or family to wish them a strong, blessed start filled with luck.
  • Safe Worldwide Suitcase Packing — Built from solid, thick cast metal, this heavy piece will never crack or break during long international travel or shipping.

Traditional Care, Washing & Maintenance

Because real raw Panchaloha contains pure copper and silver, it will naturally darken or turn blackish over time when exposed to air and water. This natural change is the absolute physical proof that your metal is pure.

To keep it shining like a bright golden temple idol for a lifetime, follow these easy steps:

  1. The Daily Wash — Wash the statue cleanly with water during your normal daily worship.
  2. Cleaning the Oxidation — Rub a small amount of fresh tamarind paste or fresh lemon juice mixed with a little salt over the metal. Use a soft cloth or a soft toothbrush to gently clear away dark spots from the fine lines.
  3. The Golden Shine — Rinse thoroughly with clean water. The natural fruit acid will instantly bring back the bright, rich golden glow of the Panchaloha.
  4. Wipe It Completely DryThis is the most important step. Dry the statue immediately using a clean, soft towel. Make sure no water drops are left trapped inside the grooves of the crown or archway, so it does not get uneven dark spots.

Care & Maintenance

Made from super fine quality brass with a golden powder coated polish — gives a satin gold glow like a gold statue. Purely for decor and dry display. If used for pooja rituals, the golden polish layer will peel off over time. Keep it dry — and it will look as fresh as the day you bought it. Always.

No restrictions for pooja rituals. Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve its traditional antique look. The dark patina is intentional — it deepens the beauty over time.

Powerful. Preferred for active pooja rituals — no restrictions. Traditional Cleaning Method: Use dara liquid and cashew nut seeds — an ancient method used by temple priests for generations. Gently rub with cashew nut seeds dipped in dara liquid. Rinse clean. Your idol will look brand new. Cleaning once every 30 days is recommended if used regularly for pooja.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand this completely. You are buying online from a shop you have never visited. Here is the truth: Sri Swaminathan & Co has been standing at 61, Bakthapuri Street, Kumbakonam since 1973 — over 53 years. We are not a warehouse or a reseller. We are a family shop, rooted in Kumbakonam, where priests, temples, and devotees from across Tamil Nadu have been coming for generations. Travellers from Singapore, Malaysia, UK, and USA visit us when they come to Kumbakonam — because they know us. You can walk into our shop any day. We are real.
Because most sites sell products. We sell legacy. Every item in our shop — whether it is a small brass lamp or a 4-foot Panchaloha idol — comes from craftsmen whose families have been doing this since the Chola period. We do not source from factories. We do not compromise on material or finish to reduce price. When you buy from us, you are not just getting a product — you are getting 53 years of trust, traditional craftsmanship, and the assurance that what you receive is exactly what a devotee deserves.
This is a fair concern and we respect it. Here is why we do not offer COD — our products are handcrafted, fragile, and carefully packed for safe delivery. COD returns damage both the product and the trust. Instead, we offer something better: WhatsApp us before you order. We will send you a video of the actual product — the exact piece you will receive. You can ask us anything. Only when you are fully satisfied, you pay. Our 53-year reputation is our guarantee — we cannot afford to let even one customer down.
Not at all — and we are glad you asked this. Our products are made of brass and Panchaloha — metals that naturally catch and reflect light from every angle. What you see as dark shades or bright reflections in photos is simply the metal doing what metal does — glowing, reflecting, and shining. We photograph every product as-is, with no filters, no AI, no editing. That reflection you see in the photo? You will see the same beautiful glow when it sits in your pooja room. It is not a defect — it is the character of real metal.
Yes — and here is why we say this with full confidence. Panchaloha idols require the right alloy, the right casting method, and the right finishing — done by craftsmen who understand the spiritual significance of what they are making. Our Panchaloha idols are hand-cast in Kumbakonam and Swamimalai by hereditary artisans using the traditional lost-wax method — the same method used to make idols for consecrated temples across South India. Priests trust our idols for temple installation. Families trust us for home pooja rooms. In 53 years, that trust has never been broken.
