Sri Swaminathan & Co · Authentic Quality
🕔 Auspicious Single-Wick Pooja Deepam with Ring Handle 🕔
— Fine Quality Strong Brass · Small Elephant Head Design · 9.5 cm (3.7 Inch) —
For those looking to bring a true, traditional spark of warmth and prayer into their morning routine, this beautiful piece is a wonderful companion. Hand-designed right here in Kumbakonam, this Handheld Brass Aarti Diya features a deep single-wick oil basin detailed with repeating traditional petal carvings and a small elephant head design.
This piece is a premium quality, heavy-gauge traditional oil lamp that naturally holds its rich golden colour over lifetime handling, making it a proud family asset for your daily home altar rituals.
Why This Small Hand Diya Deserves a Special Place in Your Home
Sacred Elephant Head Design: If you watch the diya closely, you will see a small, beautiful elephant head carved right between the ring handle and the oil basin. In our tradition, the elephant head represents Lord Ganesha, who blesses your prayers, removes daily worries, and brings a happy start to your morning.
Comfortable Finger-Ring Handle: The back of the diya features a solid brass ring loop. It lets you comfortably slip your finger through to lift and carry the lamp during daily home Aarti ceremonies, keeping your hands completely safe from the warm oil and active flame.
Beautiful Petal Carvings: The outer walls and the small pedestal base are detailed with clean rows of traditional lotus petals. This sacred pattern brings an elegant, timeless appearance that instantly connects with a spiritual person’s heart.
Steady Pedestal Base Plate: The cup sits elevated on a thick, flared round pedestal base. This design distributes the heat away from your altar floor while keeping the single-wick lamp firmly balanced so it never tips over during worship.
Material, Quality & Craftsmanship
Premium Heavy-Gauge Solid Brass: Cast from thick, pure brass metal right here in our workshops. It carries a very substantial, heavy feel in the hand, weighing approximately 160 grams for its compact 9.5 cm size. It is completely unbreakable and built to last for generations.
Sharp and Crisp Details: Every single line is etched beautifully into the core metal by our master artisans, ensuring the traditional layout stays clean and easy to care for over years of daily morning use.
Perfect Practical Dimensions: Carefully structured with a 9.5 cm total length from the nose to the ring handle, sitting at a functional 4.5 cm height and a 5.5 cm cup diameter to safely hold oil or ghee with a cotton wick.
A Meaningful Traditional Gift for Special Milestones
Daily Home Altar & Meditation Rooms: Made perfectly for your daily morning prayers, offering light to your home deities, or keeping a peaceful flame during meditation.
Housewarmings, Weddings & Baby Showers: An exceptional, highly respectable traditional choice for wedding return gifts, housewarmings, or Navratri Golu return gifts to wish your friends a strong, blessed start.
Safe Worldwide Suitcase Packing: Built from solid, thick cast brass metal, this sturdy miniature lamp will never crack, bend, or get damaged during long international travel or shipping.

Easy Care & Upkeep Instructions
Because pure raw brass naturally interacts with heat, hot oils, and soot, it will develop dark spots over time. This is normal and proves the metal’s purity. To keep it clean and golden without harsh chemical sprays, follow these easy steps:
Daily Dish Washing: Wash cleanly with your regular dish soap and a soft sponge immediately after use to clear away sticky oil residue. Never use steel wire scrubbers, as they will scratch the polished details.
Restoring the Golden Glow: Rub a small amount of fresh tamarind paste or fresh lemon juice mixed
Care & Maintenance
Made from super fine quality brass with a golden powder coated polish — gives a satin gold glow like a gold statue. Purely for decor and dry display. If used for pooja rituals, the golden polish layer will peel off over time. Keep it dry — and it will look as fresh as the day you bought it. Always.
No restrictions for pooja rituals. Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve its traditional antique look. The dark patina is intentional — it deepens the beauty over time.
Powerful. Preferred for active pooja rituals — no restrictions. Traditional Cleaning Method: Use dara liquid and cashew nut seeds — an ancient method used by temple priests for generations. Gently rub with cashew nut seeds dipped in dara liquid. Rinse clean. Your idol will look brand new. Cleaning once every 30 days is recommended if used regularly for pooja.
