Sacred Kumbakonam Panchaloha Yoga Narasimha Swamy

Bring the unadulterated spiritual presence and raw material purity of traditional South Indian temple casting into your home temple altar. Hand-designed and poured at our master workshops right here in Kumbakonam, this Panchaloha Yoga Narasimha sculpture features incredibly sharp, high-definition details that can only be captured through genuine, generational hand-casting.
This is an unlacquered, completely real masterpiece from our unique miniature series. Cast in solid five-metal alloy (Panchadhatu), the melt contains a sacred pinch of real gold and silver, providing a divine energy, substantial weight, and a natural, living warmth that artificial metals can never mimic.
Material & Incredibly Sharp Kumbakonam Craftsmanship
  • True Five-Metal Panchaloha Alloy: This idol is cast using the timeless scriptural formula combining copper, zinc, and iron, enriched with a small pinch of genuine gold and silver. Poured as a single, solid piece, it carries a heavy, premium weight of 350 grams in a compact size, making it completely unbreakable and structurally solid.
  • Authentic Raw Finish (No Lacquer): In keeping with true temple tradition, we refuse to apply artificial plastic lacquers or chemical coatings. The metal is left entirely raw and breathable, allowing it to interact purely with your daily prayers and offerings.
  • High-Definition Hand Detailing: Crafted by traditional master artisans, the crisp iconographic lines along the lion face (Simha Mukha), the tiers of his crown, and the texture of his meditative belt stay completely clean, sharp, and detailed on this miniature scale.
Posture Significance & Scriptural Elements
This sculpture portrays the beloved form of Yoga Narasimha, which carries a unique spiritual meaning in Indian heritage:
  • The Yoga Posture (Utkutika Asana): The Lord is shown seated cross-legged with his knees raised slightly, held steady by a traditional meditative binding strap (Yoga-Patta) wrapped around his lower back. This form represents perfect self-control, mental clarity, and deep inner peace.
  • The Sacred Emblems: In his upper hands, he holds a highly detailed Sudarshana Chakra (cosmic discus) and the Panchajanya Shankha (divine conch shell), standing ready to clear away life's obstacles and anxieties.
  • The Lotus Pedestal Base: The entire single-piece sculpture rests safely upon an elevated, bell-shaped circular base decorated with curved lotus petals, keeping the heavy 350-gram weight perfectly balanced and steady on your altar.
🎁 A Prestigious, Lifelong Traditional Gift
Weighing a solid 350 grams, this compact and beautifully balanced sculpture makes a wonderful choice for:
  • Sacred Home Altar (Pooja Room): A pristine, raw metal icon perfect for daily traditional rituals, prayers, and active home worship.
  • Executive Desks & Study Tables: Fits beautifully on office workstations or student desks to help create a quiet, focused atmosphere for concentration and mental clarity.
  • Housewarmings & Special Family Milestones: An unforgettable, highly respectable traditional heirloom gift to wish friends or family a life filled with calm protective energy and zero stress.
  • Safe Worldwide Packing: Built from solid, unbreakable cast metal, this heavy piece is completely immune to fractures during long international transit or international shipping courier handling.

 Traditional Care, Washing, and Maintenance
Because authentic raw Panchaloha contains pure copper and silver, it will naturally breathe and darken over time when exposed to air and ritual elements. This natural patination is the physical proof of your metal's absolute purity.
To maintain its brilliant, golden temple-glow for a lifetime, follow these real traditional steps:
  1. The Pure Wash: Regularly wash the idol with water after any ritual offerings.
  2. Oxide Removal: Use a small amount of traditional natural acids, such as fresh tamarind pulp paste or fresh lemon juice mixed with a pinch of fine salt. Gently rub the paste over the fine carvings using a soft cloth or a soft-bristled toothbrush to effortlessly dissolve any dark copper oxides.
  3. The Golden Luster: Rinse thoroughly with clean water. The natural acid will immediately restore the sharp, mirror-smooth golden radiance of the Panchaloha.
  4. Complete Drying: This is the most important step. Wipe the statue completely dry immediately after washing using a clean, dry microfiber towel. Ensure no water droplets are left trapped inside the deep grooves of the crown or base, as trapped moisture will cause uneven spotting.

Care & Maintenance

Made from super fine quality brass with a golden powder coated polish — gives a satin gold glow like a gold statue. Purely for decor and dry display. If used for pooja rituals, the golden polish layer will peel off over time. Keep it dry — and it will look as fresh as the day you bought it. Always.

No restrictions for pooja rituals. Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve its traditional antique look. The dark patina is intentional — it deepens the beauty over time.

Powerful. Preferred for active pooja rituals — no restrictions. Traditional Cleaning Method: Use dara liquid and cashew nut seeds — an ancient method used by temple priests for generations. Gently rub with cashew nut seeds dipped in dara liquid. Rinse clean. Your idol will look brand new. Cleaning once every 30 days is recommended if used regularly for pooja.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand this completely. You are buying online from a shop you have never visited. Here is the truth: Sri Swaminathan & Co has been standing at 61, Bakthapuri Street, Kumbakonam since 1973 — over 53 years. We are not a warehouse or a reseller. We are a family shop, rooted in Kumbakonam, where priests, temples, and devotees from across Tamil Nadu have been coming for generations. Travellers from Singapore, Malaysia, UK, and USA visit us when they come to Kumbakonam — because they know us. You can walk into our shop any day. We are real.
Because most sites sell products. We sell legacy. Every item in our shop — whether it is a small brass lamp or a 4-foot Panchaloha idol — comes from craftsmen whose families have been doing this since the Chola period. We do not source from factories. We do not compromise on material or finish to reduce price. When you buy from us, you are not just getting a product — you are getting 53 years of trust, traditional craftsmanship, and the assurance that what you receive is exactly what a devotee deserves.
This is a fair concern and we respect it. Here is why we do not offer COD — our products are handcrafted, fragile, and carefully packed for safe delivery. COD returns damage both the product and the trust. Instead, we offer something better: WhatsApp us before you order. We will send you a video of the actual product — the exact piece you will receive. You can ask us anything. Only when you are fully satisfied, you pay. Our 53-year reputation is our guarantee — we cannot afford to let even one customer down.
Not at all — and we are glad you asked this. Our products are made of brass and Panchaloha — metals that naturally catch and reflect light from every angle. What you see as dark shades or bright reflections in photos is simply the metal doing what metal does — glowing, reflecting, and shining. We photograph every product as-is, with no filters, no AI, no editing. That reflection you see in the photo? You will see the same beautiful glow when it sits in your pooja room. It is not a defect — it is the character of real metal.
Yes — and here is why we say this with full confidence. Panchaloha idols require the right alloy, the right casting method, and the right finishing — done by craftsmen who understand the spiritual significance of what they are making. Our Panchaloha idols are hand-cast in Kumbakonam and Swamimalai by hereditary artisans using the traditional lost-wax method — the same method used to make idols for consecrated temples across South India. Priests trust our idols for temple installation. Families trust us for home pooja rooms. In 53 years, that trust has never been broken.
