Most devotees know Lord Narasimha only in his fierce, battlefield form — roaring with fire in his eyes as he tears open the demon Hiranyakashipu to protect Prahlada. But the Puranas and Pancharatra Agamas reveal a deeply different, profoundly calming form called Yoga Narasimha, which appears after the battle is completely won.

Once his devotee Prahlada calms the Lord’s fiery anger with pure, steady prayer, Narasimha withdraws from the battlefield posture and settles into a perfect meditative stillness. Traditional Care, Washing & Maintenance

Because authentic raw Panchaloha contains pure copper and silver, it will naturally breathe and darken over time when exposed to air and ritual elements. This natural patination is the physical proof of your metal’s absolute purity. To maintain its brilliant, golden temple-glow for a lifetime, follow these traditional steps:

• The Pure Wash — regularly wash the idol with water after any ritual offerings.
• Oxide Removal — use a small amount of fresh tamarind pulp paste or fresh lemon juice mixed with a pinch of fine salt. Gently rub over the fine carvings using a soft cloth or soft-bristled toothbrush to dissolve any dark copper oxides.
• The Golden Lustre — rinse thoroughly with clean water. The natural acid will immediately restore the sharp, mirror-smooth golden radiance of the Panchaloha.
• Complete Drying — this is the most important step. Wipe the statue completely dry immediately after washing using a clean, dry cloth. Ensure no water droplets are left trapped inside the deep grooves of the crown or base, as trapped moisture will cause uneven spotting.
